Ten years ago I decided to capture a photograph every day of the year of people I met and places I visited. On January 1st of 2011, I resumed the project.
Feb 26th. Peter Trott. Peter works as a delivery driver for Morris Ltd who supply ready mix concrete. This is a great piece of kit, his truck has a 13m boom and dumps the concrete where it's needed. Needless to say at 8am this morning "Muscle" Meehan aka Fred who can down to help was warmly tucked up in bed.
Feb 23rd. Arnold Poole. Is a hedge layer. In fact he has being doing the same job every Spring since he left school. Now 64 years old Arnold does not read, write, drive or have a mobile phone. He left school at 11 and has worked the "countryside ways" ever since. Not hugely keen on cameras but did consent to the photo. Wikipedia
Feb 22nd . Tim Andrews. A very old friend, or perhaps put in a different way, a very good friend of long standing. Tim was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2005 at the age of 54. He has just finished an photographic digital display at The Lightbox in Woking documenting his journey through this period of his life, when, in his own words, he “just happens to have” this degenerative illness.
Feb 18th. Dr Nick Chapman. Partner in the North Curry Health Centre a very calming person to be with, full of help and encouragement. They run a very good show
Feb 13th, Stange photo you may think, but what you see here are two air-drying hams. They both previously belonged to Braeburn our Gloucester Old Spot gilt who went on extended holiday in mid December. Since then they have been salted for 5 weeks, the left as per Hugh Fearnly and the right as per Brian Polcyn. Presently residing in the open log store,in a dog crate for the next 4 to 5 months. Lets see who gets there first, mice or men!
Feb 12th . James. The Landlord of the Bird in Hand Pub in North Curry. A very popular pub in the heart of the village. James has dreams of spending time in Ko Samui.
Feb 10th. The Somerset Levels. are crossed by a network of drainage ditches, canals and rhynes. For Many months of the year they can be underwater and the site of a gate in the middle of a large lake can be rather surreal. This winter it has been very dry and the gates and fences are all above water.
Feb 2nd. Gavin Follett. Gavin owns Diverse Kitchens in Taunton and hand built our kitchen. He has the patience of a saint and was very good revisiting things time and again. A pleasure to deal with. http://www.diversekitchensandfurniture.co.uk/
Jan 31st. Peter White. Head Chef, Owner and Chief Bottle Washer of the Village Kitchen Caterer. Peter and his team are a testimony to calories, gout and other aliments attributed to gastronomy in Grayshott. Lovely food. http://www.villagekitchencaterers.co.uk/
